Ginette and her friend are local to Brugge, and joined the Brugge essentiel tour on Monday. While they’re both studying at the local SNT (community college) in photography, they decided to join in to get a little extra photo study.
I didn’t mention them much that day, (I was just so happy the rain was letting off!), but as I can luckily say with tours thus far, it was a really nice time. We walked, I worked my Dutch while they worked their cameras, and we even found time for a little coffee before I had to go. Again, lucky to say it was another great tour for guests, here’s to more.
Anyways, the photo I chose from the ones she kindly sent to share is the one I found the most powerful. Taken by the old St Jan, this photo of the two monks statue caught my eye.
Simple in composition but complex in feeling. Dry but warm. Open to definition, yet focused in message.
Balance. That’s what won this for me. Dank U Ginette!
